Mike Alexander is a 58 year old Englishman now living in northern NSW, Australia. His site will be focusing on 'The Indiaman Tour' run by Paddy Garrow-Fisher out of Kingston-upon-Thames, in the 1960s. Mike (also known as 'Alex') was a driver on the tour, which was one of the great pioneer overland journeys of the era. It took about two and a half months and covered some 15,000 KMs through Europe and Asia. It took people through some very primitive countries and over some extremely punishing terrain and was, for everyone who experienced it, their 'journey of a lifetime'. The site will contain pictures and anecdotes etc and eventually (hopefully!) provide a contact point for ex-Indiaman travellers.
